Tom Marshall

Tom Marshall is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree, a US Coast Guard 3rd Mate’s License and a commission as a US Army Officer. During OIF 09-10, Tom served as a Reconnaissance Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in the last American combat Brigade to withdraw from Iraq. After separating from active duty, he worked briefly in corrections before returning overseas as an independent contractor. His maritime, military and security experience has taken him to 19 countries on 3 continents. Tom’s been a freelance gun writer for about three years. Born and raised in New York, he much prefers his current home in the great American Southwest, where there’s more guns, more horses and much less snow.
