Magpul Answers the Call to the Snipers Dilemma

Recently I had the chance to team up with my good friend Freddy, AKA Stuntgunner, to get some hands on time with Magpul’s M-LOK Tripod Adaptor released earlier this year! We hope you enjoy the images and commentary! Feel free to ask questions in the comments and we will do our best to answer them!

Prior to the release of the M-LOK Tripod Adapter, the most common method of securing a rifle to a tripod was to use some type of saddle or rest. While these methods worked, they essentially made the rifle and tripod into one unit, making it a chore to break down in an emergency situation.

I have personally observed individuals not deploy their tripod with a saddle system for that very reason as by doing so, can sometimes cause rushed shots and essential deliver ineffective fire.

The main reason I like the Magpul M-LOK Tripod Adapter is that it has the potential to relieve a shooter’s mental and physical fatigue by providing a consistent, indexed mounting point which can break down a shooter’s ability to make accurate and timely decisions.

The M-LOK Tripod Adapter quick release function enables the shooter’s rifle to rapidly detach from the tripod. This gives the shooter the flexibility to “shoot and scoot” that much easier.

The Magpul M-LOK Tripod Adapter has beveled ends and semi-rounded corners, producing a streamlined profile system, that the shooter is able to keep attached to the rifle at all times.

Attachment was seamless and as long as your M-LOK T-Nuts are properly indexed, the tripod adapter installs with about half a turn from an allen wrench.

The low profile design reduces the potential from getting caught on equipment and other unforeseen hazards while negotiating obstacles.

The product is designed for use on M-LOK compatible handguards or forends such as the Strike Industries hand guard featured on our review platform.

The adapter connects directly onto any tripod head equipped with the standard Manfrotto RC2/Q2 interface (Amazon has many available as well as B&H Photo).

The adapter is CNC machined from aluminum and the low profile, lightweight, Mil-Spec anodized, reasonably priced and of course, made in the USA.

This adapter will definitely enhance the capabilities of any precision rifle shooter, MIL/LE sniper, hunter, or weekend warrior currently using the M-LOK system.
