Magpul MBUS Pro Offset (Back Up Iron Sights)

Nov 2019 Update:

All MBUS Pro Front Sights now come factory-equipped with the Enhanced Front Sight Post. There is no need to order one separately unless you are retrofitting an older MBUS Pro front sight. Enhanced Front Site Posts are not compatible with standard MBUS polymer sights.

A few months back we sent a set of Magpul MBUS Offset Sights to the guys at Rockwell Tactical Group and Markland Photography.

Jared, the owner of Rockwell Tactical Group, focuses on training Military, Law Enforcement and citizen patriots and is a trusted, special operations, contributor to Blacksheepwarrior.com.

Jared had a chance to play with the Magpul MBUS Pro Offset and told us that he really liked the rock solid build quality, low profile and obviously the fact that the optic doesn’t need to be removed to gain a sight picture. he also asked us to mention that he appreciates their compactness and that other back up iron sights might be thinner but they make up for it in width.

Jared’s time with the Magpul MBUS Pro Offset was documented through photos by Kevin Markland of Markland Photography. You can check out Markland Photography’s unique approach to tactical photography by visiting his website, Facebook and Instagram.

Magpul designed the MBUS Pro Offsets sights on the foundation of their original MBUS Pro line of sights. The MBUS Pro Offset sights are constructed from Melonite coated steel and are adjusted without the use of tools. Having the sights mounted in an offset orientation allows the shooter to quickly cant the rifle 45 degrees to clear a malfunctioning optic or address threats at a distance that isn’t optimal for magnified optics.

The Magpul MBUS Pro Offsets are made int he USA like all other Magpul products!

The Magpul Offset BUIS can be found at Magpul’s website or at www.mtgtactical.com where you can save $30 off by bundling both front and rear sights! That puts them at right about $150 for a set.

Kevin Markland had a chance to run the MBUS Pro Offset sights as well and we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that awesome Motus patch!

So, now its your turn, are you a standard MBUS Pro fan or offset MBUS Pros are the way to go? Leave a comment and tell us what you think!
