As promised we managed to get our hands on a brand new windowless Magpul PMAG 30 Gen 3.  There are lots of detailed photos and the plan is to put the full size photos in the Tactical Photos page ASAP.

pmag 30The floor plate no longer accepts the dust cover and the magazine has four boxes with square indentations for marking your magazines.

pmag 30The Floor plate of the new Gen 3 PMAG (Right) is slightly thinner which should allow for the magazine to fit vehicle weapon locks unlike its predecessor (left).

pmag feed lipsThe feed lips on the new Magpul PMAG 30 Gen 3 (Lower) are slightly narrower than previous versions (I compared at least six magazines and found this to be the case, however none were brand new).

  1. The marking matrix is an interesting idea. Any chance of doing a side by side/top profile of the floorplates since this seems to be the biggest change?
